We are currently targeting a PRODUCT DESIGNER to support the product development processes for current and next generation drug delivery systems including syringes and other disposable medical devices, etc. This is a key role that will work with Product Development Engineering and the Director of Product Development in providing design proposals for drug delivery systems taking them from ideas to functional shapes that can be engineered into working models and products.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the capturing and understanding of intended product ideas as articulated by the Director of Product Development, Product Design Engineering and Sales and Marketing.
Responsible for generating conceptual models and drawings.
Work with Product Development Engineering in developing options and alternative designs.
Ensure that the medical devices are designed, developed and documented to applicable FDA and ISO standards, regulations and company procedures.
Use SolidWorks and FEA (finite element analysis) to develop conceptual models and designs.

Experience:
5+ years of product design with emphasis on disposable medical devices, preferably drug delivery systems.
Proficient in SolidWorks CAD
Experience with medical device design control procedures
Working knowledge of polymer materials
Familiarity with statistical programs such as Minitab
