Product Development Technician
Direct Hire/Perm
Harrisburg, PA

We are currently looking for an engineering technician with a background in Product Development to take on an key internal role where you will provide various levels of engineering support for product development and engineering projects.

Essential Job Functions:
Provides support to the project director including communication with vendors and suppliers.
Prepares reports in presentation format (PowerPoint or other) for Company management and development partners.
Assists in performing product evaluation and testing.
Organize and track a broad range of product development activities.
Document preparation and review.
Create task lists and compile progress reports.
Coordinate the purchase of development parts.
Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks as assigned.
Works with manager and peers to improve all aspects of department in support of business plans.
Support peers and immediate supervisor by anticipating problems, offering solutions and continuously improving the function of the department.

Education/Experience Required:
Minimum of an Associate of Science degree in engineering or related field.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in product development required.
Experience in medical device/pharma industry preferred.
Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements (ie FDA. GMP, ISO) of class I and class II medical devices and ISO 13485 is preferred.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, EXCEL).
Knowledge of MS Project strongly preferred.
Experience with controlled documents and EDM systems required. Familiarity with Six Sigma, LEAN manufacturing or other vigorous quality control programs is preferred.
