Job Description

As an employee of PNC Financial Services Group, you become part of an organization committed to customers, employees, investors, and the communities in which we do business. PNC is an established, growing and successful financial services company, with businesses organized around retail and commercial banking, asset management, and funds processing. Our branches are concentrated in thirteen states and the District of Columbia; additional offices are located nationwide and internationally. We are growing in size and through recent acquisitions have become the fifth largest bank by deposits in the US.  We are also growing in reputation, as a leader in areas such as work/life family culture, "green" building design, frontier technology, and strong corporate social responsibility.

As a professional in our Collections & Recovery department, you will be a part of PNC's Operations department, the "back office" support organization for all of PNC's businesses. PNC Operations is committed to leadership in technology, processes, and service, and you will be exposed to the industry's best in all these arenas. Your position will be based at the Consumer Loan Center in the heart of the Strip District. This facility is close to public transportation. You will report to a Collections Team Leader.

As an integral part of our Recovery team you will be assigned accounts for litigation and collection agencies.  Facilitate the identification of loans for litigation, repossession, or agency referral.  Serve as loan workout specialist on charged-off accounts to secure in-house recoveries of charged-off loans.  Perform sequenced skip-tracing to help locate customers and collateral. Interact with dealers, credit bureaus, branches, attorneys, agent banks, and customers in a professional manner.  Review and recommend charged-off accounts through agency and litigation assignment. Must demonstrate organization skills to effectively manage a demanding caseload.

During a typical day, you'll work within PNC's well-developed Collections/Recovery protocols, paced by the requirements of a demanding caseload. You'll draw upon your experience in consumer loan collection/recovery, use function-specific knowledge from the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, UCC code provisions and Right to Cure Laws. Specific problem-solving skills will be an important part of your daily work, as you counsel and take initiative on debt restructurings, repossessions or foreclosures. PNC is committed to market leadership, so you will be exposed to the industry's best in technology, processes, and service.
