The individual selected can reside in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh and will be involved in special projects and assignments as needed. The practice group supports  the treasury management business at PNC throughout the United States.  This position will be assigned to provide general legal support to the business, and may include a primary focus on assigned geographies as well as particular products.
 
Will be expected to handle a large volume of matters arising out of the treasury management business and to assist others in the Practice Group as needed.  This will involve providing legal advice to treasury management officers and product managers on a variety of matters of varying complexity to assist them in resolving and/or managing a variety of legal issues and in achieving their business goals.  Primary tasks include drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating customer-focused and vendor-related agreements, counseling the business on product development, reviewing marketing materials, providing training as appropriate, and monitoring legislative and regulatory changes applicable to the treasury management business.  This position will also be involved in special projects and assignments as needed.
 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Eight years practicing law with a minimum of five years of experience handling  treasury management matters
  • General knowledge of banking law as well as knowledge of Articles 3 4 4A  and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. 
  • Familiarity and experience with legal issues arising out of payment systems (including commercial card services) and cash management services such as wire transfer ACH lockbox operations and receivables processing use of check images etc. 
  • Strong contract drafting negotiating and issue-spotting skills are necessary. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA-related issues  government contractor issues and loan documentation is a plus.
