Why should I post my openings on CareerBoard.com?       Back To Top

CareerBoard gives you the best opportunity to fill your job at the lowest possible cost. Our sole mission is to help employers find local candidates in the shortest time possible. Your cost of using CareerBoard is typically far less than any other resource. Also, we reinvest 32 percent of all posting revenue in local advertising to attract local qualified candidates. Ready to start posting?  Select an area to begin: Northwest, Northeast, Central or Southwest.

How long do the jobs remain online?       Back To Top

Job Postings remain online for 30 days. Jobs can be modified or deleted by you anytime during the 30-day time frame. You have the option to extend the posting an additional 30 days, which does require an additional credit.

Do you have a service to automate the posting?       Back To Top

Yes, for our larger member clients we provide a service that eliminates the need to manually post on CareerBoard. You still have control to what is posted and when. Click here to learn more about CBRescue.

Who posts the jobs?       Back To Top

You do! After registering your organization, you are provided with a username and password, which gives you 24/7 access to your account to post, edit or delete your jobs. We suggest first creating your job in a Word document and then simply cutting and pasting into our online form.

What information should I include in my job posting?       Back To Top

Your job posting should include an exact job description, accurate job title and salary information. You have unlimited posting space to describe the specific skill set and background you are seeking in a candidate. CareerBoard.com attracts the passive job seeker. Many candidates qualify themselves into or out of a position based on the salary. Leaving out this pertinent information could cost you your ideal candidate. Salary is not required on a posting, but highly recommended. A salary range rather than a specific number is sufficient.

How much does this service cost?       Back To Top

Our rates are less than half what popular national sites charge and far less than print ads. When you consider that 32 percent of our posting revenue goes back into the local market to attract candidates, CareerBoard offers the best value at the lowest cost.

How do job seekers respond to my ad?       Back To Top

CareerBoard.com makes it simple for candidates to respond to your posting. The method of candidate response is your choice. Your choices are email, fax, phone, Web reply and regular U.S. mail. Email and fax tend to be the most popular response methods. Job seekers sign up to be notified daily when new positions are posted on the site that matches their interests.

What can I do to ensure the best possible response to my ad?       Back To Top

    • A complete job posting that fully describes your opportunity is critical.
    • A Profile Page that provides quality information about your organization.
    • Select three relevant job categories to ensure your opportunity gets maximum exposure.
    • Provide accurate response information.

How do I search the résumé database?       Back To Top

The résumé database is searchable by keywords, categories or date posted. Resume search capability is included exclusively with our member accounts, which include monthly and yearly memberships. CareerBoard.com only allows direct hire companies to have access to the resume database.

What is a profile page and how do I create one?       Back To Top

The profile page showcases your organization to the job seeker and should include basic company information, benefits, and perks of working for your organization. When creating your profile page, think of yourself as the job seeker: What would you want to know about the employer. The profile page also has unlimited space and includes a link to your organization Web site, your organization's logo, and a link to all of your current postings. Simply create the text in a Word document and send us your logo in .gif or .jpg format, and we take care of the rest. Profile pages are included in all packages and memberships. Need some help creating your Profile Page? Call us at 216-595-1632 for assistance.
